CEO Miles D. White delivers business update at annual shareholders meeting and tells shareholders that today’s Abbott is more balanced, global and aligned.

Abbott today is well positioned to make a powerful, positive difference in the lives of the millions of people we serve, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Miles D. White told shareholders today at the company's annual meeting at its headquarters in Abbott Park, Ill.

During the meeting, Mr. White outlined steps Abbott is taking to build on its successful 126-year heritage and address healthcare challenges around the world.

“In our first year as the new Abbott, we kept our short-term commitments, producing the results we said we would, and—more importantly—we strengthened our company to keep thriving over the long term,” said Mr. White.
